VetMAX PRRSV NA and EU 3.0 Kit

Real-time PCR

Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome

Product reference :  A57016

The VetMAX PRRSV EU & NA 3.0 Kit contains both VetMAX PRRSV 3.0 reagents and controls.

VetMAX PRRSV 3.0 reagents
VetMAX PRRSV 3.0 reagents include master mix, Xeno RNA control, and a primers/probes mix that enable multiplex, one-step, reverse transcription and real-time PCR (RT-PCR) assays targeting North American (NA) and European (EU) porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRSSV) RNA and Xeno RNA. The Xeno RNA control (10,000 copies/μL) is added during extraction as an internal positive control (IPC). These reagents contain an updated primer/probe mix compared to the similar VetMAX NA and EU PRRSV 2.0 Reagents.

Features of the VetMAX PRRSV 3.0 reagents include:
• Rapid and cost-effective method for amplification of target sequences
• Quality reagents manufactured under ISO 9001, providing confidence in supply and quality
• From a brand with over 20 years in the DNA/RNA arena, with extensive bioinformatics capabilities and experience

VetMAX PRRSV 3.0 controls
VetMAX PRRSV 3.0 controls are for use in multiplex, real-time reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR) assays targeting North American and European porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) and Xeno RNA. The controls come pre-mixed in one tube as a ready-to-use solution.

The included Xeno RNA Control is an internal positive control added to the lysis solution during RNA isolation to distinguish PCR inhibition, reaction failure, or human error from true negatives.

PRRSV causes significant losses in the swine industry due to reproductive disorders, respiratory conditions, and growth retardation. PRRSV can be detected in blood and semen 24–48 hours after infection. Real-time PCR is the most sensitive method for monitoring RNA amplification.
