The last General Assembly of Diagnostics for Animals was held on June 11th, 2025 with the participation of Dr. Emmanuelle Soubeyran, Director General of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH).

“ This week, I had the pleasure of meeting with Diagnostics For Animals (D4A) to explore how we can further strengthen hashtag#veterinary diagnostics together.
D4A presented their latest achievements, while we shared WOAH’s ongoing work in standard setting and emphasised the essential role of diagnostics in robust animal health systems. We also discussed our efforts to harmonise the regulation of diagnostic kit registration and the potential contribution of reference laboratories to a renewed global register.
It was a fruitful exchange that helped clarify mutual roles and identify areas for collaboration. Strengthening diagnostics means strengthening surveillance and our collective ability to detect and respond to animal health threats early.”
